Download for macOSRequires macOS 14.0 or later
Download and open the DMG file. Drag AFK Host to your Applications folder.
On first launch, AFK Host will ask for permissions. These are required for streaming and remote control:
AFK Host will show a pairing screen on first launch (or open it from the menu bar). Start pairing on your iPhone and enter the 6-digit code. This is a one-time setup.
Once paired, tap your Mac in the AFK app to connect. The menu bar icon shows connection status.
If the connect button is disabled and your Mac appears offline (even though it's running), try closing and reopening the AFK app on your iPhone. This usually resolves the issue.
Check that Screen Recording permission is granted in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording. You may need to restart AFK Host after granting permission.
Check that Accessibility permission is granted in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. You may need to restart AFK Host after granting permission.
